Hauptstadt Möblerei is Berlin's largest secondhand furniture retailer. We started in 2015 in a small upholstery workshop in Kreuzberg. Today, we give thousands of pieces of furniture a second life in our showroom in Berlin-Lichtenberg, from design classics to modern pieces. More than 24,000 customers, 4.9 stars on Google and Trustpilot.
For our showroom team, we are looking for immediate support in sales on a part-time basis, primarily on Saturdays and two additional days per week. Ideal for students, people returning to work, or as a second source of income. Career changers are very welcome; we will teach you everything you need to know about furniture.
Responsibilities
- You advise our customers in the showroom and sell secondhand and modern furniture.
- You answer inquiries by phone, email, and chat and support customers through the purchase process until pickup or delivery.
- You keep the showroom in good order and present new pieces attractively.
- You maintain customer data and orders on a computer.
Qualifications
- You speak German very well (at least C1 level) and have a good command of English; many of our customers are international.
- You enjoy approaching people and are good at advising them.
- You are comfortable working with computers.
- You are reliable, conscientious, and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Experience in sales or retail is a plus, but not required.
- You have an eye for interior design and an interest in furniture and vintage items.
